Ok, I know my husband is in the Navy and all, but for God's sake could they cut me a break???? Over the next 2-3 months he is gone 2 weeks, home 2 weeks etc. He leaves on Monday for the first 2 weeks. He just called me to let me know that after taking care of 3 sick children (4 if you count him) he has to leave tomorrow and be gone 2 nights. Are you kidding me? Are they trying to suck the life right out of me? I was hoping to get in some alone time with just him this week, maybe get out and see a girlfriend one night...rest up to have the kids all to myself for the next few weeks. Screw the Navy. They can have him back when I am good and ready. Like that is gonna work....
Alright, bitch fest over...for now.

That's tough...the Navy is one of the worst for that stuff.
So So sorry. Mike's gone right now and I'm getting a small taste of what it might be like. Hope you get some time in soon. I was watching them do some Navy exercise in Hawaii on the TV. Something with a bunch of other nations. Portugal, Japan and a couple other ones. That was like a few weeks ago. We do see them doing some really good deeds out here like evacuating the American's from Lebanon. Very heroic. Take heart. What you are doing back home is nothing less than heroic & I'm sure Dan thinks so too!
I believe what you saw on TV is called PacRim or something of the like. They all get together in Hawaii and play war. Dan did that while he was deployed. He said it was fun.
That sucks. I remember my Aunt having to deal with my Uncle being gone all the time. He was in the Navy too and he'd no more than get home and have sea duty again.
((Hugs))
Aww,I'm sorry:(
Being here in Japan the only American TV we get is military (AFN) which, isn't so bad. We still get all the popular programming from back home. Josh doesn't see any commercials for toys and candy and, we learn a lot about some really cool things that our troops are doing at home and around the world. It's helped me gain a whole new respect for our armed forces and their families. Yup, I think that it was PacRim. I saw the Portugese (SP?) Navy Ship and it was beautiful. It reminded me of the India Star in SD.
Ooops Star of India.....sorry. :)
Hang in there, he'll be back before you know it. The kids will keep you so busy, time will fly!;)
I'll be keeping you in my prayers.
All of us bloggers can get together and go beat the Navy up for you? Wanna??
Hang in there!
Yeah, Christina, that would be great!
I'll be fine you guys...just bitching a little. The thing that pisses me off the most is this is his shore duty when he is supposed to be home. And he is gone more now than when he was on sea duty. Urg!
