We can do it

Where has my cleavage gone...oh yeah...in the backseat

During our travels in the great northwest, I found myself speeding faster and faster down the freeway. It could have something with the "Stop touching me! Stop touching me!" coming from the hooligans in the backseat.

I really wasn't going that fast....only 76 in a 60 zone. Who can blame me after days of being trapped in a metal tube with the whining and the hitting and the complaining? I just wanted to get there and get out of the car. Out of the corner of my eye I see a black and white blur as I whiz past. Damn.

I do a half-hearted tap on the breaks and skip out of the carpool lane to blend into traffic. (in my dirty maroon minivan with Colorado license plates) Alas, the Everett police are too wise for my tricks and next thing I know flashing lights are behind me. Ah, I better get out of the way so he can go and get the bad guys he must be after. So I pull over another lane. Funny how he keeps following me. All the way over to the side of the road. Damn. I'm the bad guy.

Dan looks over at me and says, "Quick, pull your shirt down and show your boobs!"

I look at him. My shirt with a MacDonalds grease stain, my unkempt road trip hair and my face without make-up....then I glance in the backseat at all 3 kids who are now screaming.

"You think that's gonna work, eh?" If this ain't sexy I don't know what is.

The ticket was for $130.

Oh yuck, speeding tickets suck.

He should have seen the kids and had pity.

I would've if I were a policeman or woman.

I've been pulled over for speeding more times than I can count on my fingers... with some toes, I can get to the number.

Hey, I absolutely love the new blog look. Can't put my finger on what it is, but there's something about it that I can't keep my eyes off of.

ps: Colorado plates? Maroon minivan? Were you driving a stolen vehicle?

We got a ticket just the other day. My daughter was driving. She does a lot of work with the local police so if they ticket her they will ticket anybody. $150.

how I hate speeding tickets. And the stages we go through as we get them and after are interesting: 1) pit in stomach 2) fear 3) nervousness 4) pride/denial 5) anger 6) acceptance 7)annoyed about having to write a big check

is it the same for you???

Thanks for the warning, Sis. I will obey all speed laws on our trip up & down the coast. The boys can't stop talking about the cousins & are looking forward to being reunited soon. We leave Monday night in the dead of night so as to lull the boys into sleeping the first leg of the trip. We shall see how we fair in the PT Cruiser vs. the Minivan. I'm thinking Sardines already - but that's what makes the best memories. See you in a couple weeks! Lov Ya,
