Pie Making Day

Today is pie making day. The day where my mom, sister in law (Tiffany) and I get together and slave away making pies for Thanksgiving. We are a family of 14. Four of which would rather eat gummy bears than eat pie. Two will be drinking breastmilk. Then there are 2 adults who aren't even eating. At least 3 more are on a diet. Yet there we will be. Making and OBSCENE amount of pies. We need at least 2 or 3 chocolate pies with our family's secret recipe. Everyone who tries it swears it is the best chocolate pie and begs for the recipe. We are selective. Then we have to have at least 2 pumpkin pies. My brother, Kevin, begs for at least 4. Then there is the milk pie. Another family tradition similar to custard pie. Everyone fights viciously over that one except for Dan and I, so we usually avoid that brawl.
So here we will be with nearly 9 pies and all 14 of shouldn't be eating it. Mmmmm....Thanksgiving.

Have a great time with your loved ones. For those of you who can't be with them this weekend I pray God's blessing your way. Happy Thanksgiving.

Have fun baking pies. We will not be making any. We have a store bought one or two. Perhaps for Christmas we will make a few.

MMMM Pies!
I made our pumpkin pie 2 days ago...there are already 2 pieces missing from it. Pecan I made yesterday. I wanted to make a chocolate pie, but I knew I would be the only one eating it...and my butt needs to fit into a bridesmaid dress in a couple months.

Have a very happy thanksgiving!

Can I get your chocolate pie recipe?

You're the second person to talk about this "milk pie" thing. It sounds like some imaginary dessert. Milk is an ingredient...not a filling. So weird.
But chocolate pie....mmm...now you've got me interested.
