A Spelling Test

We have a spelling dilema. Yes, spelling can be a dilema. Our son, Breydan has a nickname that no one in our family can agree how to spell. They all seem weird or ridiculous when written out so I will toss this out to blogland and see what you all think and vote on.

Brady
Breydy
Bredy
Breydie
Bradie

None of them seem quite right, but since that is what I call him most of the time, I should figure out a way to spell it.

Just cause I need to be different I would spell it Breyde so like the rest of his name but with an 'e' to make the right sound.

My next choice is Bredy.

I really like Breyde..it suits the way his name is spelled and looks different and strong.

I'm with Breyde. To change the spelling, going from E to A would just be confusing. Go with that, I say.

I like Breyde...as you can tell from my brother's comment above, my family is hard headed and opinionated. They are just gonna spell it any darn way they please. :)

I'm with Rob. Sorry. Brady. Change the spelling - I think it's normal to do that when you shorten names. That way they get pronounced properly.
My g-friend Tricia shortens her name to Trish. Tric is just too silly - she's not a hooker.

What about Breydey?

I like Brady or Breydy. The 'ie' seems more feminine to me...

I agree with Trailady 'ie' does look feminine, but I can't give it up and spell like the show??
But I will if that is what you choose!

Well, my girls are great 4 and 14 months. Adam is struggling with all his work/injury business. (Kris can fill you in) But overall we are pretty happy and I love being a mommy and a wife more than I thought possible! Corny but true. I really miss seeing you guys. We hope to come out this summer but we'll see.
Take care,
Shana

My name is Breyde and I love it. It is pronounced Brady. It confuses some people, but not all.
